Ahmad Zia is a refugee from Kabul, Afghanistan. Kabul is the capital of Afghanistan and is located on the eastern section of the country. In his free time, Ahmad Zia enjoys spending time with his family, going on bike rides, watching TV, and going on picnics. Some of his favorite foods from his home country include: manto, bolani, and rice with meat. Ahmad Zia’s dreams while living in the United States include: helping his family, buying a house, and getting a car. While living in Wausau, some struggles for him are: having a language barrier, going through cultural adjustment, having a new work environment, and getting used to the transportation system. Ahmad Zia’s favorite things about Wausau are how nice the people are, how nice the area is, and how easy it is to commute.
